Playing Up Bonus

Players whose DUPR rating falls within 0.25 below a division floor may choose to play up into the next division. Example: a 3.75 player may play in the 4.0 division.

Players who play up are eligible for the 50-point playing-up bonus regardless of finish. Players may not play down from their rated division.

Division Movement

If a player's DUPR rating moves into a higher division as a result of tournament results, they will be moved up at that point and may not return to their previous division. A 100-point bonus is awarded when this occurs.

DUPR rating for division placement will be based on the official DUPR rating as of the Monday following each tournament.

Championship Qualification

Players accumulate series points across all three main events. The top point-earners per division qualify for the Championship, with a few additional spots available through the Qualifier.

Players qualify individually. To compete in the Championship, a qualified player must be paired with another individually qualified player — you may not carry an unqualified partner.

If a division doesn't fill completely, the next player(s) on the points list will be offered a spot, or the division will run with the available field.

The Qualifier

The Qualifier is a small, last-chance event held close to the Championship. Only players who have not yet qualified are eligible. The top finishers per division will earn the remaining qualifying spots.
